先週ですが、『ドライブ・マイ・カー』を観に行ってきました。数ヶ月ぶりの劇場でしたが、やはりわたしは劇場という空間が好きだなあと思いました。
話は、村上春樹原作で、ヤツメウナギが出てくるところは絶対に原作にあるなと思いました。好きな作家の話をベースにしているのと、『きのう何食べた？』から気になっている西島秀俊さんが主演という理由で観に行きましたが、その二つの「好き」がないと３時間近くのあの話は厳しかったかも。
難解、抽象的、そういうイメージが強かったので、わかりやすい話というわけではありません。何かと考えさせられる映画だったかな。疲れるから毎回こういう映画を観る体力はないけれど、観た後に余韻は残りました。
岡田将生さんが、いつの間にかインディペンド系の作品もすっと演じる役者さんになっていたんだなというのも印象に残りました。霧島れいかさんも、こういう空気を纏う女性いるよねえ、、、と感じたり。
やっぱり映画館はいい。次に映画館で観られる映画は何かな？
I went to see Drive My Car last week. It'd been a few months since the last time I went to the theater, This really made sure I like the place. Theaters!
The story is based on Haruki Murakami's story. Since I like his work and the starring actor, Hidetoshi Nishijima, I went to see it. Without those two reasons, I might have not been able to bear the work of almost three hours.
It wasn't an easy story to understand. It's more difficult and abstractive. It made me think a lot. I don't have a physical strength to watch this kind of movie all the time, but this left me some lingering feelings.
Masaki Okada has become a good actor who can play independent pieces. I also find the wife, Reika Kirishima, that there are those women.
Theaters are great. What shall I watch next time?
