野球のことは監督を含む専門家がいると思うので、そこはそれまでの人に任せ、それ以外の立居振る舞いや考え方について教えてくれる人、刺激を与えてくれる人と接するのは素晴らしいと思います。
新庄さんは、太っている人に減量を命じたという記事も読みましたが、それもいいと思ってます。野球が放っておいてもファンがものすごく来るスポーツなら別ですが、おそらくファンの数は以前と比べて少なくなっているはず。今まで興味がない層を取り込みたいなら、見た目や言動は大事です。人が憧れる対象になるのは、努力が見えますから。

I am sure they already have the professionals teaching the players baseball so some people from different industries can teach them how to behave or think, or give them an inspiration, that's great.
Shinjo told the players in the team to lose weight if they were overweight. Why? They need more fans. It's not the time when you have enough fans without doing anything. If you want to get more fans from the groups not interested in baseball, the appearance and what they say is important. We long for the ones who try hard and we sense it.
