金柑の苗が５つありました。頂き物の金柑を食べたあと、芽がでるかなという軽い気持ちで植えてみたら５つ、芽が出てきたものです。先日、友人２人に差し上げたので、今はあと３つ。
種から芽が出る。当たり前のことですが、果物や野菜をお店で買うばかりの身ですので、やはりはっとする部分がありました。
小さな苗、最初に双葉が出て、そのあとさらに２つ。そういう成長を見るのが楽しいこの頃。あと１、２つは人に差し上げてもいいなと思っています。みんなの金柑が、どのように成長していくかを見るのもきっと楽しいですよね。
I had five kumquat seedlings. After eating the fruits, I casually tried to plant the seeds and there you go, five sprouted. I have given two friends so there are three seedlings left at home.
Seeds sprout. This is natural. But I only buy fruits and veggies at stores so this made me realize they are plants and alive.
The seedlings are tiny. First there were seed-leaves. Then two more. It's been fun watching them grow. I would give one or two more to friends. Wouldn't it be nice we share the growth of each tree?
